Introducing Semantify

We're a scholarly infrastructure consultancy founded by Sara El-Gebali and Xiaoli Chen — two practitioners who've spent their careers inside the systems we now help others build.

Between us we've contributed to DataCite schemas, steered the FAIR Digital Objects Forum, run metadata programmes at EMBL-EBI and SciLifeLab, and studied why researchers do — and don't — reuse the data infrastructure built for them.

Semantify exists to close the gap that we kept running into from the inside: organisations that know what good metadata infrastructure looks like, but lack the bandwidth or the specialised hands to build it, fix it, and get it adopted. That's the work. More soon.
